Emile Henry Presents Stacking Ramekins in Slate, Sand, Sky, Figue and Nougat
Authentic French Design, Craftsmanship, Style
New Castle, DE - May 2009 - Replace those dull, plain white ramekins with a set of stylish new colors from the Emile Henry Urban collection. The new stacking Emile Henry ramekins glazed in the serene and sophisticated colors of sand, slate, sky, figue and nougat are used for baking, food preparation and serving. The all-natural, 3.5inch ramekins are made from Burgundy clay and are designed to withstand wide-ranging temperature changes such as going from a freezer to a hot oven. The glaze is naturally nonstick perfect for sliding an egg into boiling water for pouched eggs or baking individual apple crisps or créme brulee. The colors are delightful. Sand is soothing, Slate is cool, Sky is gentle, Figue is serene and Nougate is warm and creamy.
Like the traditional Emile Henry table and ovenware, the Urban Collection is made in the heartland of France, home to prized Burgundy wines, fine rustic French cooking and the excellent properties of clay that Emile Henry has been using for over a century and a half to make its famous cookware. Burgundy clay is known for its superb heat diffusion and retention. A dish can be prepared ahead of time, refrigerated or frozen, placed directly into a preheated oven or in the microwave, and served right at the table.
