Sponge Cake 


  • eggs
  • 4 1/2 oz. self-rising flour
  • 3 oz. cornflour
  • 4 1/2 oz. butter
  • 5 oz. caster sugar

Temperature: 360 ° F


Recipe for 8 servings
Melt the butter.
Mix the sugar with the butter.
Add the flour, cornflour and eggs, one at a time.
Whisk the mixture until it becomes smooth.
Grease your Emile Henry soufflé dish with a little butter, and pour in the mixture.
Cook 30 min at 180C / 360F (th. 6).

This sponge cake is even tastier served with custard or chocolate sauce.
