Emile Henry Artisan Bread Baker allows you to bake all kinds of generous sized home-made bread––just like those hand-crafted by artisan!

Simply use white flour to bake a classic sourdough bread or mix flour types (spelt, rye, chestnut…) to bake rustic, authentic loaves, explore different textures and flavors.

Made from Emile Henry innovative ceramic, the Artisan Bread Baker helps create baking conditions identical to a traditional bread oven. It ensures your bread has the required level of humidity while baking to get a perfect, golden, crispy crust with a light and airy inside.

The crisscrossed lines in the base prevent the dough from sticking, and the openings on both ends of the lid make it easy to manipulate. Lastly, upside down, the lid fits inside the base for compact storageThe bright glaze is resistant, non-porous, durable and easy to clean.

Excellent, even for smaller recipe!

I bought this without checking the dimensions. My typical bread recipe is around 3 cups of flour, so it's smaller than the standard recipe. But it came out beautifully! I love that the pot is light, and only wish that there are better side handles to grip. My dough was shaped in oval proofer basket, and proofed overnight. I used baking paper bec I would find it hard to transfer dough to hot pot, so there was no sticking. It didnt lose shape in the pot. And the bread was crusty, moist and golden. Thank you!

Love my Artisan Bread Baker in Burgundy!

It’s been over twenty years since I baked bread from scratch and I’ll make my second tomorrow. I followed the recipe which was in the cookbook, the one with quick rise yeast. While I followed the recipe my bread-sponge was very sticky after beating by hand for over an hour. I kept adding flour to no avail. I realized I had used presifted all purpose flour. After letting it rise twice it was still too sticky. I shaped it as best I could. I preheated the baker and added flour and cornmeal to the bottom of the pan, sprinkled flour over the loaf-I had to roll the loaf into the pan and shape it. I baked it fir 45 minutes, the last five uncovered. It didn’t brown because of too much flour on it. After the bread cooled it was delicious! The crumb was tender! The recipe is perfect!!! Next time I’ll read the label on the flour sack and be sure not to use presifted. The baker cleaned up beautifully and all I did was wipe it clean, no stains at all!
