I’ve always admired the design of the Emile Henry butter pot . . . the function/use of this item matches its flawless, simple elegance. Form and function both get top rating from me!
Haven’t used it yet. You’re coffee mugs are another problem.Wrote to you to find out why the entire shiny finish inside and out wore off and sent pictures.Received a reply how to take out coffee stains.Nothing about the finish. Have mugs much older and the finish is still in tact. Not really happy with you’re product or responses.Happy Bastille day. Michael
We bought it on special, which may explain why it was not perfectly round, but this is OK as it is hand made. We love it, easy to use, stores a good quantity of butter and it does not become rancid.
This is the first Emile Henry pottery that has disappointed me. It is beautiful but does not serve the function I wanted to use it for. The lid has an extension within the base (I did not know this), not allowing me to use the base to store butter in the refrigerator. The lid extension is in my way. After receipt, I found out that there was a different plan for its use: to put butter into the extension and keep fresh with water.
The item came damaged & I have been going through the steps to get a replacement. The process so far hasn't been too hard but I emailed the requested pictures of the damage 3 days ago and have not heard back. I'm not sure I will get a replacement because the item shows as "sold out" online"
