Asian Inspired Chicken


  • 1 whole chicken, cut into pieces
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 3 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil
  • 3 tbsp chili oil
  • 1 tbsp tabasco
  • 1 tsp chili flakes
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • ½ tsp brown pepper
  • Salt

Temperature: 350 ° F


Procedure In a bowl mix all ingredients together except chicken and salt. Place the chicken in the Emile Henry baker skin side up. Sprinkle with a teaspoon of salt. Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken. With tongs, turn the chicken in the sauce so that all parts are coated, ending with the skin side down Place in a preheated 350F oven and bake for about 1 hour and 30 minutes. Every so often pour some of the sauce over the chicken. Half way through baking time, turn the chicken skin side up. *other chicken parts can be used, all legs, thighs, breasts, etc. but remember cooking times will change then too. *If the chicken is browning too quickly, put aluminum foil on top to stop from burning.
