Bumbleberry Pie 


Pie Crust (Makes 2 single crusts)

  • 1 cup butter flavored shortening
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 cup cold water

Bumbleberry Filling

  • 1 cup black raspberries
  • 1 cup red raspberries
  • 1 cup rhubarb
  • 2 cups apples
  • 1/3 cup flour
  • 1 1/3 cup sugar
  • 4 tablespoons butter

Temperature: 350 ° F


1st Place Fruit and Berry Amateur Division PIE CRUST: Mix shortening, flour, and sugar until it forms pea size balls add your water and mix into a dough ball. Roll out and place one crust in pie dish. BUMBLEBERRY FILLING: Mix all fruit into a bowl add sugar and mix that then add flour to thicken. Add your butter and mix again then pour into pie crust. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until done.
