Spicy Cabbage


  • Half a large firm cabbage
  • 4 tablespoons oil
  • 1 Large onion finely sliced
  • 2 or 3 fresh green chili’s sliced (such as long hots)
  • 2 cloves garlic finely grated
  • 1tsp. Finely grated ginger ( or powder)
  • 1 tsp. ground turmeric
  • salt to taste

Temperature: ° F


Rough chop cabbage. Heat oil and add onions and chili’s and cook until soft and translucent. Add garlic and ginger stirring until golden. Add turmeric and cabbage. Coat the cabbage with the mixture. Turn heat to low. Place lid on Tagine and cook for 10-15 minutes or until cabbage is tender - not too soft. Add salt and toss well.
