Roasted Caramel Apples

Ingredients

  • 6 golden delicious apples
  • 7 oz. sugar
  • 1 3/4oz. butter
  • 3 tablespoons milk

Instructions

Peel, core and cut the apples crosswise into slices. Put the apple back together again so that it remains whole. Put the sugar in the Emile Henry Oval Dutch Oven and leave to melt over the heat (do not add water) until it turns into caramel. Take it off the heat and add the butter and milk. Stir gently to obtain a smooth, thick caramel. Place the apples in the Dutch Oven with the caramel sauce. Spoon some of the caramel over the apples. Cover and cook for 45 minutes at 325F degrees. Take out of the oven and serve hot.
